2 MHz LiDAR scanner

4 band true metric cameras

Integrated airborne hybrid sensors system

The airborne market for area-wide 3D data acquisition is experiencing a noticeable trend towards a hybrid mapping concept. The most airborne data collection will increasingly be performed by a combination of active and passive sensors. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, collecting all relevant data while flying is an efficient and cost-effective solution, even when the flying restrictions and regulations are factored in. Also, exploiting the advantages of both light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and aerial imaging will improve the quality of the final geospatial products.

MapSoft has hybrid sensor system of airborne LiDAR systems which integrate a LiDAR unit and a passive imaging unit (multi-camera fashion) in the same platform for concurrent acquisition of ranging and imagery data. MapSoft’s hybrid sensor system consist of:

  • High quality LiDAR sensor and
  • Aerial metric multispectral camera (RGB+NIR)

The system is integrated into a single unit and equipped with a high-quality Trimble GNSS/IMU georeferencing system. Improved data quality is provided by the gyro platform, which has the role of compensating for the tilt of the aircraft during flight mission.

Beside airborne data acquisition, MapSoft has high-quality equipment for hydrographic survey.

LiDAR scanner

TELEDYNE OPTECH GALAXY EDGE+

Galaxy-Edge.jpg
  • 2 MHz effective ground measurement rate
  • Parallel and additional scan lines
  • Ultra-compact, high-performance mapping sensor
  • Compatible with Phase One cameras and gyro-stabilized mount
  • 8-returns for improved vertical resolution

Galaxy Edge+ delivers high-resolution data with the most efficient acquisition in steep terrain, resulting in lower carbon footprint and a 20-50% reduction in collection costs. The new Teledyne solution responds to market needs for uniform point density by accelerating the scan speed and delivering straight and parallel scan lines. It also optimizes for wire detection and reduces atmospheric noise and processing labor

Multispectral cameras

PHASE ONE iXU-RS1000

PhaseOneCameras.jpg
  • 2 cameras (RGB + NIR)
  • 100 Mpix CMOS sensor - (11.608 x 8.708 pixels)
  • True metric calibrated camera
  • Designed and tested for aerial imaging purposes
  • High quality Rodenstock lens

The MapSoft camera system is based on two Phase One metric cameras. The 4-Band solution includes two synchronized Phase One metric calibrated cameras (RGB and NIR) mounted side by side on a specially designed base plate. The software automatically generates distortion-free images and performs fine co-registration of pixels from the NIR to the RGB images, including processing different image sizes.

Both cameras are true metric calibrated camera and meet the highest standards of spatial accuracy and radiometric quality in the production of the most demanding geospatial products. These cameras have become standard in all high-quality aerial hybrid sensor systems.

  • 4-Band combined NIR and RGB (RGBN) TIFF (4-Band CIR)
  • 3-Band combined NIR and RGB (NRG) TIFF (3-Band CIR)
  • NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) TIFF
  • Distortion-free / corrected RGB TIFF
  • Distortion-free / corrected NIR TIFF
  • RGB TIFF
