| MapSoft is software designed to satisfy the requirements of all participants in technology of making, processing and maintenance of large-scale maps. It is designed according to the latest trends in software development and GIS. It has a customizable environment and an open platform for the development of various GIS applications. Due to its powerful data capture capabilities MapSoft is an indispensable tool for the establishment of large scale Geographic Information Systems - GIS (Land Information Systems - LIS). MapSoft and its database is also a solid foundation for any other information system that relies on spatial data |
Architecture:
MapSoft enables completely digital data acquisition, processing and maintenance of large-scale maps. Digital cadastral map produced by this technology retains all the functions of the conventional map, but it also bring numerous functions and advantages which were not present in the conventional technology of making maps.MapSoft is a perfect tool for conversion of existing maps to digital form. It respects experiences and knowledge of the surveying practice as mush as possible. Due to its powerful data capture capabilities MapSoft is an indispensable tool for the establishment of large scale Geographic Information Systems - GIS (Land Information Systems - LIS). MapSoft and its database is also a solid foundation for any other information system that relies on spatial data. It has a customizable environment and an open platform for the development of various GIS applications.
OS-platform:
- MapSoft operates under the Windows 32 platform (95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP/Vista).
Optimal hardware configuration:
- Minimal configuration: Pentium I / 133 Mhz / 64 Mb Ram-a
- Optimal configuration: Pentium II / Celeron / 450 Mhz / 64 Mb Ram-a
- Optimal configuration for large projects: Pentium III / IV / Celeron; AMD Athlon / 1.2+ Ghz; 256+ Mb Ram-a
Features of MapSoft
- Simple installation, implementation and administration
- Spatial and attribute data of the project are kept within the standard
DBMS whereas project size is limited only by available disk space
- Seamles integration of several projects into one workspace
- Great performances for data access, visualization and queries
- Network access to the project data is provided as standard option; project
data can be modified simultaneously from many workstations and their number
is limited only by network and server performances
- Easy to use, intuitive, Windows 95 compliant user interface, with
customizable menus, toolbars and docking windows
- Powerful data capture capabilities using the same user interface and
functions for data management; digitization from existing maps,
photogrammetric measurements and field surveying measurements are fully
supported
- Easy to use functions for data conversions, high quality cartographic
plotting with plot preview, query and analysis, linking spatial data with
external data
- Mixed display of vector data with unlimited number of georeferenced and
seamlessly mosaicked raster images with support for almost all standard
formats including ECW
